About the Speaker

Hugh is CEO of The Link, a software company dedicated to making construction documents consumable for the field though innovative use of LLMs and deep knowledge of specifications. Prior to The Link, Hugh served as a general manager at CSI. Hugh is host of the AI in Construction webinar series, and Constructed Futures Podcast.

Hugh began his career translating specifications for welding wire for Taiwanese engineers and has been passionate about ensuring problem solvers have the information they need ever since. Whether it's TV production for Pepsi in China, or mechanical specifications for a building in Colorado, many of the same issues apply.

This interest in empowering problem solvers has found its natural expression in modern artificial intelligence, where Hugh has led teams building products in eLearning, machine vision, and now LLMs.

About the Talk

Artificial intelligence continues to develop at an unprecedented pace, with the models and products they empower getting more and more capable by the month. In 2024 and beyond, we're beginning to see AI agents and other products that can do more than just answer questions. They can take on tasks and sequences of actions to produce real outputs, much like a human would. In this keynote, we'll explore what this means now, and where it's like to go in the coming few years.
